What You'll Need
- ChatGPT: to brainstorm lemonade names, flavors, prices and a customer pitch, and to make the menu picture. Its image tool now gets words on a menu mostly right, which older AI tools usually didn't.
- Canva: for kids who can type, it's great for laying out a more detailed menu from a template. Best for ages 8 and up, on a parent's account. Kids under 13 can only have their own Canva login through a school (Canva Education).
- Gemini (optional): a free second option for brainstorming and pictures.

- AI still makes mistakes on prices, spelling and sometimes math. Checking the menu is your kid's job as the business owner.

Step 5: Talk Pricing & Profit
Ask: “What should I charge for lemonade to make a little money but still be fair?”
Then make a tiny cost sheet together: cups, lemons, sugar and ice. Ask the AI to help add it up, and have your kid double-check the math. How many cups do they need to sell to earn back what they spent? That's their break-even point.
Step 6: Make a Pitch
Ask AI to help craft a friendly pitch.

Do kids need an account to use ChatGPT for this project?
Kids under 13 can't have their own. OpenAI's terms require ChatGPT users to be at least 13, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian's permission. Teens can now use a teen version with parent controls, where you can turn off image making. For younger kids, a parent runs ChatGPT and types the prompts while the child brainstorms flavors, names and prices out loud.
